Maasai Dreams is committed to celebrating the strength, resilience, and aspirations of Maasai women as they navigate the challenges of life in Kenya's Maasai Mara. Our mission is to foster global awareness and inspire action by highlighting critical issues such as access to healthcare, education, and sustainable livelihoods. We are dedicated to using the proceeds from our film to directly support initiatives that improve the quality for the Maasai community, including working with the Maa trust on expanding the first OR in the Mara into a much needed hospital. By bridging cultures and sharing profound lessons from the Maasai, we aim to drive positive change, uplift marginalized voices, and demonstrate the transformative power of documentary filmmaking in creating a more connected and compassionate world.


The Seven Pillars

  • Women in the Maasai Mara face the arduous task of collecting water for their families, often requiring long, grueling journeys across rugged terrain and riverbanks. These treks not only consume valuable time but also expose them to the dangers of wildlife encounters.

    We have a vision to transform this challenging reality by building rainwater harvesting systems within the community. By investing in this crucial infrastructure, we aim to significantly reduce the need for these perilous journeys, enhance safety, and provide a more reliable and sustainable water source.

  • Maasai women have historically endured immense trauma over centuries and even now. We want to protect the upcoming generations from what their ancestors have endured.

  • Through the MaaTrust, we hope to build the first OR in the Mara to provide critical healthcare to the local community.

  • While donations are always appreciated, the key to continuous success for the Maasai women specifically is by building some type of infrastructure that allows them to fund themselves. We hope to do this by opening an online store where they are able to sell their beautifully crafted beaded creations.

  • Our core focus will always be to empower the women and children in the community through various campaigns.

Working towards a harmonious balance between conservation and sustainable human development in the Maasai Mara. We are proud to partner with an incredible organization to provide aid to the Maa people.
